My family loves summer because I have the time to bake cakes. Of course, there’s also the sun, pool, beach, and a little thing called no school too.
This Caramel Cake is absolutely the easiest cake ever. Give it a try.
Cake Ingredients:
1 classic white cake mix
1 cup whole milk
8 tablespoons butter, melted
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
Mix all the ingredients together in a mixer. This will be a thick mixture. Evenly divide batter into 3 buttered and floured cake pans. Gently hit the cake pans on the counter to even out the batter and to get ride of air bubbles. Bake at 350 for 18-25 minutes. (Don’t overcook; remove from oven when a knife inserted comes out clean.)
Frosting Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups confectioner’s sugar
Once the cakes are cooled, begin the frosting. Melt the butter in a pan on the stove. Add the brown sugars and whisk until smooth. Add the vanilla and milk. Turn down the heat to low and add the confectioner’s sugar. Whisk until smooth. Remove from the stove and spread on a cooled cake – between the 2 layers and on top. If the frosting becomes too thick to spread, put it back on low heat to softened it.
